The Stress Factory School of Comedy, led by professional comedian Joe Matarese will help you develop a 5-minute stand-up routine that is original, and in your own unique comedic voice. At the end of this course, you will have the opportunity to perform your set at the famous Stress Factory Comedy Club.

This class is perfect for a person who has never set foot on stage before, an experienced comedian looking to improve, or someone who just wants to improve their public speaking skills. You will learn from someone who has done everything and seen everything! His experience and guidance will expedite your success!

This class will cover:

• How to obtain a comedy manager
• How to use the microphone to enhance your performance
• How to write in your own voice
• The many styles of writing standup comedy
• How to get work in the standup comedy industry
• What mistakes can be avoided easily
• How to break into the industry in New York City and Los Angeles

We will also have guest instructors, from headliners that work at The Stress Factory, to managers, agents, and club owners.
